19th century leather sewing case

A supremely charming, surprising, and possibly unique small leather travelling case. It looks pretty enough from the outside, but when you open it, it reveals its true delight. The outer small suitcase is made of very good quality leather and extensively decorated with impressed gilt fleur-de-lis, making me think the case itself maybe French. Open it up, and you are struck by the most delightful interior in green silk offset with yellow buttons in the cushioning. A real surprise.
It is probable that the original suitcase was converted to its current purpose. I imagine it being owned by someone who travelled for their job, perhaps as a high quality dressmaker.
The interior is amazing, and you can see in the images it has a leather strap inside the lid to hold various tools, and in the main body sections for perhaps reels as well as perhaps slightly less obvious straps to hold packets of needles. It does have a few bits and bobs inside which are possibly later additions. This would be a real find for a collector of sewing materials: they could reconstruct the case as it might have been.
It has a typical suitcase leather handle, all good, and a working lock with a key (not original but functional).
