This is an original Abel Morrall’s Flora MacDonald needles shop display case, a rare vintage haberdashery item and in superb condition: perfect for collectors, designers, and interior decorators alike.
Made in Redditch, England - once the heart of British needle manufacturing - this charming counter-top display features bold Art Deco-style typography and a period image of Flora MacDonald. Used in sewing shops to market needle packets, it reads “Needles stuck in flannel – easily replaced after use.”
An ideal decorative piece for vintage-inspired craft rooms or nostalgic retail displays, this antique sewing advertising display combines British heritage with timeless design. A must-have for sewing memorabilia collectors and needlework enthusiasts.
I have sold a few of these over the years, and this is the best one yet. The condition is really outstanding and for a piece of this age, and intended shop counter use, I challenge you to find better - it really is that good.
