Code: 2970mf
Dimensions:
A pair of cast and silver-plated candlesticks, in the rococo style, standing 10" tall and 4½" across the base, and with removable drip trays. They are not signed anywhere obvious, but within the 'cup' they have stamped a winged bird which resembles the mark of the Phoenix Manufacturing company that made silver-plated items in Melbourne, Australia. They ceased trading in the 1960s.
There are small differences between the sticks, and other imperfections under the plate: all part of the manufacturing process.
They feature decorative engraving in several places, most notably, but not only, on the drip trays and bases.
