A nice little tabletop chest of four graduated drawers, each one subdivided inside. Some of the most recent labels remain, and I have to admit this has been used in the past for collecting eggs - now highly illegal (since 1954) - I can safely say it has not been used for that purpose recently.
It is very tidy and clean, constructed from pine, and stained. The drawer pulls are turned wood and a couple of them have been replaced over the years. All the drawers run smoothly, and the net result is a super little chest.
I envisage this now being used as a jewellery cabinet, or perhaps to store sewing materials, beading, or one of many other hobbies that need bits to be kept in drawers.
It is a lovely thing, and I look forward to seeing it embark on a new phase of life soon.
