Mary Audsley occupies a distinctive position within post-war British Art. She was born in Eton, Berkshire, and studied at the Westminster School of Art under such luminaries as Mark Gertler, Bernard Meninsky and Eric Schilsky. She has exhibited at the Royal Academy, the London Group as well as being celebrated with solo exhibitions at Sally Hunter Fine Art.
Her mid-century graphic works perfectly reflect the mid-century British shift towards simplification and stylised abstraction.
She worked across several media, including ceramics and carving as well as print making. More can be found out about her online, including at Wikipedia.

This is one of the Mary Audsley pieces I have for sale. It is an unframed, signed limited edition lithograph produced in 1984 in a very short run of just seven prints of which this is number five. It is numbered, signed and dated in pencil - see the images.
Audley's work is increasingly sought by collectors of post-war British art who recognise her contribution to the evolution of mid-century modernism.
