Code: 2928RF
Dimensions:
A very fine quality double Albert, in silver and with graduated links. The T bar is hallmarked with the date letter M and a maker EGT (but no city mark). The fob is marked for Chester and if that is where the chain was also assayed then it dates from 1875. The fob is later, made by Thos John Shelton and assayed in 1922. The centre, unengraved, cartouche of the fob is plated in rose gold (not tested)
The chain measures 44cms and each side terminates in a hallmarked clip. Every link carries the Lion Passant, although somewhat rubbed now. The whole piece weighs 76g
As you can see in the images it is a very good piece, and I have added a picture with a Silver pocket watch (separately listed) to illustrate it as it is intended for use
The price includes FREE UK (Mainland) DELIVERY. For other destinations, a modest amount will be added at checkout to cover the extra costs involved.
Payment can be made using almost any card, or Apple Pay
NB: the M mark for Chester indicates 1875, for Birmingham 1886 and Sheffield 1906
