A very early pressing of the first Pink Floyd studio album. Released in August 1967 this is probably a second pressing, and in remarkable condition considering its 59 years. It is heading for its sixtieth on the 4th August 2027. The runouts have been checked and confirm the pressing, and the sleeve is a Garrod & Lofthouse. The inner sleeve is original too.
Condition is excellent with mint vinyl that plays very well and I would classify as NM/M, and the sleeve is intact and VG+ or NM. The vinyl has been cleaned and placed in an extra Audiophile premium anti-static sleeve which now sits within the original paper inner sleeve. The outer sleeve is protected by a plastic album outer.
I think this is a fine copy of an increasingly rare album. Who knew in 1967 that this band was to become a global super-band, generating millions of sales and present in so many record collections. I try to always have selection of Pink Floyd albums for sale in the shop because it's always those that attract the most interest. The band is unstoppable, even Sixty Years On (as Elton may have said in 1970) (got some of his early stuff too!)
This early album by the most influential band we are likely to see is available to view, listen to, and buy in the shop, or you can purchase it immediately using the 'Add to basket' button above
