Released in 1971, this is a very good condition example of the original pressing of Sticky Fingers. The album cover, known as the Large Zip (subsequently replaced by a photograph, preumably because of cost and damage caused) works. It reveals the Andy Warhol logo on a man's underpants.
The insert photograph of the Stones, backed by the now well-known logo and blurb about the album, is present (even rarer!) and has been sellotaped on the corners. I've shown both sides of each corner in the pics.
The album itself appears to be very good, but I have not been able to play test it as I no longer have a deck.
The runout codes are present and correct for this original pressing, but proved tricky to capture on a photo. I have included one here.
Vinyl is becoming increasingly valuable and collectable as more and more people return to it, and more bands release new material on it. Of all the collectable records, an original Sticky Fingers must rank right at the top of the desirability list.
Well, here it is.
What a wonderful addition to a serious vinyl collection, or a great present for an enthusiast.
